COVID 19 – Coronavirus
We find ourselves in strange and difficult times with 2020 throwing us an unexpected curve ball… COVID 19. We have discovered it does not discriminate, affecting so many people in so many countries across the world. Whilst the biggest fear might be our own or loved ones’ physical health, it also brings many other worries and anxieties:
- Financial worries
- Unemployment worries
- Anxiety and fear about leaving the house
- Isolation and loneliness
- The loss of being able to hug
- Loss, trauma & grief of those who have died and not being able to say goodbye or give them the funeral we would have wanted to
- Health workers who are working on the front line to nurse and care for those who find themselves battling COVID 19, which is bringing different ways of nursing they have previously experienced
- Health workers having to live away from their families to protect the risk of spreading the virus
- Trauma/PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) of those who have been unfortunate to find themselves in hospital or other acute care services with COVID 19, where you may find processing the experience, understandably, very traumatic.
If you find yourself with any of these issues I am able to offer online therapy or telephone support as listed below. Making the first step is always the hardest but I am here to help you.
Who am I?
My name is Justine and I have a BA Hons Degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Person-Centred Counselling is a non-directive form of therapy, which means I don’t ask lots of questions, it’s just about being with you on your journey. Listening and not judging you. Counselling offers you a unique relationship where you feel safe to explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings.
My experience includes working in the NHS where I work with various age groups including children, adolescents and adults. I also have experience working in children’s services including the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and No Limits, a local charity for under 25s.
I undertake regular clinical supervision as part of my clinical professional development (CPD) and BACP requirements.
I have experience with various specialisms, including but not limited to:
- Health Related Anxiety
- Low Mood & Stress
- Low Self Esteem/Confidence
- Trauma & PTSD
- Anger and TIC Disorders
- Loss & Bereavement
- Menopause Related Anxiety
- Relationship Difficulties
- Suicidal Thoughts

I offer short term and long term counselling – this is entirely a decision for the individual to make.
As a member of the British Association For Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I work within their ethical framework to ensure I practice professionally, respecting and valuing my client’s beliefs and opinions. I believe in the importance of offering a warm, empathic and non-judgmental space where you can work through your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Taking that first step can be really scary, but from your first contact with me, I guarantee you an authentic and genuine interest in helping you get on the road to recovery.
During our first session we will talk about the importance of boundaries, confidentiality, privacy and Data Protection. As a member of the BACP I follow the guidelines to which we, as professional counsellors and psychotherapists are bound, which includes The Data Protection Act 1998.
“We recently used Eclipse Therapy Services to help our daughter.
Justine is approachable and caring. From the outset our daughter felt safe and secure speaking to Justine about her private thoughts. Our daughter felt secure enough to speak to Justine on her own and relaxed enough to speak about her concerns and worries. Justine is not judgemental, neither does she underestimate the impact poor mental health has on a family.
Justine was caring enough to contact us as parents between sessions and was helpful in directing us to information and advice.
As parents we would definitely recommend Eclipse Therapy Services.“
