The ‘Rewind Technique’

Who am I?
My name is Justine and I have a BA Hons Degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Person-Centred Counselling is a non-directive form of therapy, which means I don’t ask lots of questions, it’s just about being with you on your journey. Listening and not judging you. Counselling offers you a unique relationship where you feel safe to explore your experiences, thoughts and feelings.
I am also trained in ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) including ACT for Trauma. ACT is a form of psychotherapy that looks at accepting difficult thoughts and feelings rather than avoiding them and uses mindfulness strategies along with behaviour changes to improve your psychological flexibility.
Additionally I can offer Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) which is a modern structured therapy looking at the strengths and resources the client already has. We look at levels of motivations, setting goals and and looking more at the possible solutions rather than focusing on the problem – Thinking together about what makes you happier rather than what makes you depressed. “Watering the flowers and not the weeds”.

My experience includes working in the NHS where I work with various age groups including children, adolescents and adults. I also have experience working in children’s services including the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and No Limits, a local charity for under 25s.
I undertake regular clinical supervision as part of my clinical professional development (CPD) and BACP requirements.

I have experience with various specialisms, including but not limited to:
- Anxiety
- Health Related Anxiety
- Depression
- Low Mood & Stress
- Low Self Esteem/Confidence
- Trauma & PTSD
- Anger and TIC Disorders
- Loss & Bereavement
- Menopause Related Anxiety
- Relationship Difficulties
- Self-Harm
- Abuse
- Suicidal Thoughts
- Sexual Identity Issues
- Adjustment to diagnosis of medical conditions
- Life Coaching

My Promise
As a member of the British Association For Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I work within their ethical framework to ensure I practice professionally, respecting and valuing my client’s beliefs and opinions. I believe in the importance of offering a warm, empathic and non-judgmental space where you can work through your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
Taking that first step can be really scary, but from your first contact with me, I guarantee you an authentic and genuine interest in helping you get on the road to recovery.
During our first session we will talk about the importance of boundaries, confidentiality, privacy and Data Protection. As a member of the BACP I follow the guidelines to which we, as professional counsellors and psychotherapists are bound, which includes The Data Protection Act 1998.
customer review
“We recently used Eclipse Therapy Services to help our daughter.
Justine is approachable and caring. From the outset our daughter felt safe and secure speaking to Justine about her private thoughts. Our daughter felt secure enough to speak to Justine on her own and relaxed enough to speak about her concerns and worries. Justine is not judgemental, neither does she underestimate the impact poor mental health has on a family.
Justine was caring enough to contact us as parents between sessions and was helpful in directing us to information and advice.
As parents we would definitely recommend Eclipse Therapy Services.“

“Justine is a wonderfully calm and understanding person. She made me feel really comfortable in our sessions and was great at spotting patterns in myself that I hadn’t noticed. I recommend her to anyone looking for support of any kind.”
